Why alignment matters

Wheel alignment is the adjustment of your wheels’ angles (camber, caster and toe) so they meet your manufacturer’s specs. When they’re off, even slightly, your tires scrub instead of rolling cleanly. That wears them out early, hurts fuel economy and makes the car feel less stable.

A single hard hit on a pothole or curb can knock your alignment out. So can normal wear in suspension and steering parts over time.

How we do it

  1. Inspect first. Worn tie rods, ball joints or bushings make an alignment impossible to hold. We check them before we adjust anything.
  2. Measure. We take precise readings at all four wheels and compare them to factory specs.
  3. Adjust. We set camber, caster and toe and center your steering wheel.
  4. Show you. You get the before-and-after numbers, so you can see exactly what changed.

Protect your tire investment

A set of tires is a big purchase, and a misaligned car can wear through them thousands of miles early. An alignment with every new set of tires, and a quick check each year, is one of the best-value services you can buy.

If your car is pulling or your steering wheel isn’t straight, book an alignment and we’ll get you tracking true again.

“They treat you as family.”

Camacho’s is by far the best auto shop I have been to in NC. Customer service is impeccable! I have had one too many last minute instances and they have always squeezed me in… They do not see you as a quick buck and will always give you choices from the most economical and priority to everything needed for your car overall. Top tier, they treat you as family.

“They did not try to sell me anything extra that I didn't need.”

HIGHLY recommend!! … I arrived at 8:40 am and my oil change was complete and I was on my way by 9:10 am. Very professional staff and fair prices… they did not try to sell me anything extra that I didn't need. This is now my go-to spot for any car repair needs.

“Really great service and friendly people.”

Carlos was so attentive right upon me pulling up as I was so confused what was wrong with my car and they got me in promptly and fixed my issue right away! This was not my first time as I previously had my brakes repaired here and the service was also amazing… Really great service and friendly people.

Good to know

Wheel Alignment questions

How often should I get an alignment?

Have it checked about once a year, whenever you buy new tires, after suspension work, or any time you notice pulling or uneven wear.

What’s the difference between alignment and balancing?

Alignment adjusts the angles of your wheels so they point straight and sit correctly. Balancing adds small weights so each tire spins smoothly without vibration. Pulling points to alignment; vibration at highway speed usually points to balance.

How long does an alignment take?

About an hour in most cases. Worn or seized parts can add time, and we’ll let you know before doing anything extra.
